Yes! Yes! Yes! We loved it! It was very valuable, and we would certainly invite others. The 3 Strands retreat we attended this last weekend was a blast. The setting was more than I expected, the agenda was laid back. Pastor Rees told us really early that he was not there to “push” us….. BUT he did hope we were moved.
I had never been to a marriage retreat so I didn’t really know what to expect. I’ve heard about other retreats and the mounds of material that is presented in a short time. I have heard they are not very personal so that is one reason I came home satisfied. It was very small, very personal and by the end of the weekend I had several new couples that I call good friends. The staff of Jordan Ranch was great. It was a beautiful place not far from Houston.
We were presented with about 20 different experiences and Pastor Jeff said his hope was that we would be moved or helped by a minimum of 3. The material was unbelievably effective. Kelli and I were definitely moved. Our marriage with be improved as a result of this weekend and we will grow closer to each other everyday.
In order to change your marriage, you must be willing to change yourself. When you change yourself, you change US.
